Today was an important day in my work life. As of today, our county is now part of a newly formed judicial district. This morning I had the privilage of going to the swearing in of a new judge from our county. I have known and worked with him for a very long time and am of the opinion that he will be an excellant judge. I truly look forward to Judge H. being back in our county and on the bench. At the same time, the day was a little sad because our district also lost an excellant judge that I’ve also worked with for many years. However, the bright spot is Judge G. will be returning to our DA’s office to continue in her service to our state and county. I wish the both of them the best of luck in their new endeavors, along with my friend and newly elected DA, Ms. K. It should be an interesting first few days but hopefully justice will continue to be served and cases can be moved more efficiently through our courts.
