* won’t you meet my neighbor …

One more post on our trip to Tennessee and I promise I’m done.  Ok, that may be a lie, but I’ll try to be done.  Besides, it’s not like I have anything else interesting going on at the moment.  Maybe tomorrow, but not today.

Tonight, I want to introduce you to some of my most favorite people.  Penny (aka: nana penny) and Randy (aka: Paw) are my dad’s next door neighbors.  You’ve met Penny over at Bloomin’ Idiots (which btw, has disappeared for the moment, more on that later).  By default or bad luck on their part, they are mine & Thad’s 2nd set of parents.  You know the ones, the ones who can beat you when your actual parents aren’t around and nobody thinks a thing of it or the ones that come to your house in their tightie whities and Sunday loafers wielding a golf club in the middle of the night to kill a black snake cause your daddy is scared of any reptile bigger than a red worm … those other parents.

Penny, Randy and their 3 grand kids were also in TN last week.  Yep, they just love us so much we can’t leave home without um, at least that’s my version.  I have never not known them.  They were here before me.  Most people think they are our kin, we gave up correcting people years ago.  Basically, they are stuck with us.  And for the record, they aren’t so normal either, so they fit right in the “my not so normal family” category around here.

Meet the neighbors:

I really like this picture of Randy.

Dessie reading to Emma Joy.  He avoided my camera at all cost.

Victoria taking the girls on a wagon ride.  She too was not very fond of my camera.

And then comes Lilli … she is not at all camera shy.  We had a great photo op!

She is the spitting image of her daddy … it’s really very scary.

    That is a great pic of Randy. So glad they went with you. This way, you probably felt like you never left NC. I miss seeing Penny and Randy!
