Do y’all remember way  back months ago when I introduced you to my buddy Marty?

Well if you were within 50 miles of Tville (or Tvegas as my daughters call our home town) Friday night, then you most likely got to see Elivs first hand.  What a great half time show!

The band was incredible and Marty/Elivs was a huge hit.  The people sitting around us loved the show.  Everybody was all like “who is that” and such.  They danced and sang along … we booster section people had ourselves a good time.

I took a few pictures with Chrisi’s camera and they are kind of blury but I thought I would share them any way.  For any of you who may be reading that aren’t from Tville, ACHS had a record crowd in the upper thousands for the Friday night football game.  AC didn’t win, it was by far not their best game.  I would, however, like to point out that I am so proud to be from a place where our kids have such incredible support.  It was lots of fun seeing people that I don’t get to see very often along with people I see all the time.

The atmosphere was energetic to say the least.  Our office hosted a tail gate party before the game (pictures will follow one day this week) and we had so much fun just hanging out, listening to the pre game concert, watching grown ups toss around footballs and socializing with the 100’s of other folks who also came out early to support the Cougars.  Maybe we’ll do it again next Friday for the 1st round home play off game … this time we will bring the fire pit so Page doesn’t whine get too cold.  Let me know if you’re interested, the more the merrier.

me.

Don’t fool yourself. Those 7000 people were there to see Marty not football if that is what you want to call Friday night.

How fun! I wish the Cougars could have won in front of the record crowd, but I’m glad they get so much support. I’m pretty bummed that I was stuck in Buies Creek and missed all this excitement.

All I can say is I love our reserved section fan club. Even though Kevin will not be playing at AC next year, (hopefully he will graduate) I will be back to watch some of the others I have had over the many years of being an assistant.

Are you having food at this tailgate? I am driving on a field trip and we don’t get back til 5 so will probably head that way instead of back to Bethlehem first. I am always looking for free food. LOL

margie? how long have you known me? like 18 years? what is your best guess concerning the food thing? i’d say it’s a safe bet that food will be involved in the tail gating. come join us, we are having hot dogs. i too enjoy our little reserved fan club section. i was really enjoying it when i wasn’t freakin’ about finding a seat friday night. i hope we have a huge crowd this week too and more than that i hope we win!
