* playing catch up …

Posted on December 10th, 2009 by melinda in Another day in the life of me.

#1. The Mt. Wesley smackdown on hunger challenge will end this coming Sunday.  As of this minute, the men’s class and the young adults class are tied with 7 boxes each.

#2. I will soon be the proud owner of my very own Pioneer Woman Cooks cookbook and we may have a big surprise for my favorite blog readers concerning this very thing.  Be sure to check back in a day or two for that.

#3. I am still waiting on Cathy to send us a picture of her Christmas decorations.  She really needs to share!

#4. I have not bought one Christmas present, my tree is still sitting neckid in my den with no ornaments, and there are no stockings hung by the chimney with care … and the best part … I am not the least bit concerned about it.  I’m going to enjoy Christmas this year for the very reason I should be enjoying Christmas.  Christ birth.

#5. I am still in the process of purchasing a map for my return trip to TN in a couple of weeks.  And yes, I will be going back.  How can I not?  Thad stood in a 4 hour long line for me last night, I owe  him big time.

#6. My husband refuses to get a hair cut and it is driving me insane.

#7. Tony and Eric can never be friends.  It’s my new rule.  They would be dangerous if left alone for more than 3 minutes.

#8. Both of my daughter’s are getting ready for exams and end of semester projects and such.  Send them your love.

#9. It’s not raining this very second.  That is subject to change before I hit publish on this post.  I am tired of rain for the moment.  My yard is somewhat akin to a swamp.

#10. I’m glad you all took time to stop by the blog today and any other day.  You make me smile!

For real, don’t forget to stop back by for lots of pictures of my new really close & personal friend Ree The Pioneer Woman.  I have lots of pictures to post and maybe a surprise to go with them.

    Melinda, I love the PW site, I have asked for her cookbook for Christmas, I told Betsy to put a bug in Tod’s ear so maybe you could too. He probaly hasnt a clue what it is.

    Why am I not surprised that Melinda is misleading people again. As of this moment the men are leading not tied. Rule #7 isn’t a good rule. I am sure Tony and myself could be quite productive for society and quite troublesome for you. Have a good day.

      i am most certainly not “misleading” … when i left the church house last night, we were tied at 7 boxes each and that isn’t even counting the entire case of toilet paper that chrisi brought in! so … if you are now in the lead, it is unbeknownst to me and doesn’t count until i see it in person. my new rule #7 is for the greater good of all mankind … i know the both of you and i can only imagine the “productiveness” you two might find yourselves getting in to mostly at my expense!

    I have counted the box of toilet paper that chrisi brought in which you thought put you in the lead but the case of cherries along with two other boxes of stuff have left you behind yet once again. Happy Gathering!
