* one year older …

Posted on October 11th, 2010 by melinda in Another day in the life of me.

woo hoo … it’s my birthday (doing my little birthday dance) and it’s been a wonderful day.  First of all, thank you all so much for the phone calls, emails, messages, cards and in person birthday wishes … you made my day.  I am a blessed old woman girl.

But now, now I have a hug dilemma on my hands.  I have 2 brand new books, one classic and one from an author I haven’t read before (books courtesy of Chrisi and Jeff), I have a full tummy, my daddy cooked me a wonderful dinner, my house is clean (courtesy of Anna) and the Braves are playing post season baseball.  The only non perfect thing about my day is that Richard isn’t home to share it with me.  I really should be sewing aprons for the church house booth to sell at the Apple Festival on Saturday, but how can I possibly force myself to do anything constructive at this point?

I will have to ponder on it for a bit.  I could move the sewing machine in the den where the tv is, watch baseball while sewing and take breaks every 15 minutes to read a quick chapter in one of my new books.  Or … I could turn the volume down on the tv and watch the game while reading one of my new books and sew tomorrow night.  I’m thinking it will probably be the latter option.

Which means … I need to get off of here and get busy.

Thanks again for helping make today a very special day!

(except for tony the troll and mr. preacher man who were mean to me on my birthday).

    i think PETA doesn’t like slugs either and yes, i realize the braves are no longer playing post season baseball, apparently they felt bad for the giants and said hey y’all go ahead to the division series, we’re all tired and ready to call it a year, much to my dismay!
