* givin’ thanks …

Happy Thanksgiving Eve.  I will once again be on the road to Tennessee tomorrow, thus I doubt I will be writing a blog post.  So I thought I would share some things I am grateful for this year.  Other than the obvious …

* my family

* my church family

* my job

and so on … I am most grateful that this Thanksgiving Eve has been a vast improvement over last year.  For some yet unknown reason, last year we made the detrimental decision to skip Thanksgiving breakfast with my mom’s side of our family and head to Tennessee early, it was a terrible idea that you can read all about hereand I am certain that God punished me sufficiently for neglecting my gran daughterly duties.  I am also sure my mother got a big chuckle out of it, I refused to give her that pleasure again … we will be leaving tomorrow, just like we should have done last year.  I have a suspicion that it was my brother’s idea for us to go early last year, I should never listen to his logic. That is of course unless I want something that I need his help with, then I may listen to him.

I truly hope that you and your family have a wonderful holiday.  After tomorrow mornings breakfast, Dad, Jeff, Chrisi and myself will be going west, Richard and Anna will be minding the haciendas.  I have no clue what Richard has planned but Anna is Janie and Bentley sitting (feel free to say bless her heart) and I’m sure at some point she will be hanging out with Christopher and his family.

I plan to spend lots of time lovin’ on Emma Joy, taking directions from Emma Joy and listening to Emma Joy sing jingle bells.  Other than that, if we don’t get too lazy, Thad and I are going to make some more PW cinnamon rolls and eat every last one of them until we throw up and then fill back up on honey baked ham from the Honey Baked Ham store … it’s his specialty.
