Displaying 1 To 30 Of 53 Comments * how I got hitched to a caveman … Happy Anniversary, sorry I won’t be here to tell you in person or help sing to you Sunday morning. Be sure to do something special to celebrate!! We love you guys!! All four of you!! Bobbi, Kevin & CAleb » Posted By Bobbi On May 19, 2010 @ 6:01 am Personally, I think that having your children want to stay so close to you shows how much they love & value you. It also shows that they don’t feel pressured to have to fit into a mold that you have created for them. They are free to live their lives their way but they still want & accept your guidance when needed. I also think that it shows your family & friends are a tight knit group that has a closeness we need more of in our society. I pray that Caleb wants to have close ties & a close relationship with us when he is older & doesn’t want to move far away because he thinks I am too controlling & he can’t be his own person. I also think I need to do some growing as a parent because I try to control so much about him that I get upset over his emotions & the way he feels & reacts to things in a negative way so much that I forget he is 8 not 28. I expect him to see things my way all the time & let’s face it he is a child. That being said, no one can ever say that Caleb is afraid to voice his opinion. He gets that boldness from his dad I am praying God will use that boldness to his Glory one day. Caleb has always spoke his mind about things, sometimes it is a good thing sometimes bad but you always know how he feels about everything like it or not. And Melinda, JOB WELL DONE!! YOUR GIRLS ARE EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULE!!! As a matter of fact our youth group is an awesome bunch of kids. I am so glad to have my church family to help me in my journey as a parent!! Love in Christ, Bobbi » Posted By Bobbi On April 13, 2010 @ 8:19 am * Saturday night rodeo pictures … Thanks for the pictures of Caleb Melinda, I forgot to tell you I looked at it as “Boy’s Night Out” they need to bond more. Does that get me off the hook this time? You may see me there sooner or later, I don’t go to rodeos often I think just once as a matter of fact but I love to spend time with my church family & I love to support them & our youth when possible so I may have to give it a shot. Love to all, Bobbi » Posted By Bobbi On April 11, 2010 @ 11:06 pm It was truly a beautiful thing to see the way God touched hearts & lives that night. I am very proud of Richard of giving his testimony & for Kevin offering himself, Richard & the rest of the men to the teens if they ever need to talk or anything else that they can call one of them & they are there for them. I can say it is amazing as a wife for us to see how God can truly change our husbands when we all run to him. I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything, stomach virus & all. To God be the Glory great things He hath Done!!! » Posted By Bobbi On March 25, 2010 @ 6:48 am Congratulations!! I am proud of you too Richard & I am also proud of you & the girls Melinda! I know it isn’t easy to stay & work things out & you obeyed God & he blessed all of you for it. What a testimony. You should all do something very special to celebrate. May the rest of your lives be as good or better than the ones before day 1 of the last four years. We love all of you!! Bobbi » Posted By Bobbi On March 23, 2010 @ 7:27 am AMEN to that!!!! » Posted By Bobbi On March 23, 2010 @ 7:29 am The only regret I have is that we were only there for such a short time. It was awesome to see God moving in hearts & to be a part of such a wonderful group of kids, teens, & adults. We are so very blessed by God to have each other at Mt. Wesley. Thank you so much for inviting us to come be a part of it!! We love you all!! Kevin, Bobbi & Caleb FYI : Caleb is the newest victim of the stomach virus, he is sick. Says he probably got it from Chase I said well the virus was at the campsite so it could be possible. Keep him in your prayers. » Posted By Bobbi On March 22, 2010 @ 4:22 am So sorry you are feeling so bad, hope you get well soon!! » Posted By Bobbi On March 15, 2010 @ 9:34 pm Candy apple red vw bug super beetle with chrome trim, not sure what year I was only 16 couldn’t care less just wanted a way to get out & go. I wish I still had that car. » Posted By Bobbi On February 17, 2010 @ 9:56 pm I am bummed out because I didn’t get to go to church yesterday or today to serve. I have been waiting for so long to be a part of something bigger than just going to church & home again. Caleb started having chest pains after eating dinner when we got home from church. I tried to assess the situation & tell him how long a trip to the ER would be but he insisted the pain was bad enough to go. We took him but the pain ended before he actually saw the Dr. We stayed to get him examined anyway. The Dr didn’t find anything that would cause the pain said to follow up with reg. DR. Thank you for the prayers that went up for him as we were enroute to the ER. Who knows, maybe that is what caused the pain to subside. I look forward to the next mission we do I sure hope I get to be a part of it. Love to all those who were a part of serving & love to those who can’t be a part for one reason or another & especially love to those who are in need of our service in one way or another. Jesus loves you all & I do too. » Posted By Bobbi On January 24, 2010 @ 9:04 pm I couldn’t agree more about you making beautiful babies but what do you expect? They have a beautiful mama. I know you are very proud of both your girls, they are even more beautiful on the inside which is where it really counts! Good job Melinda. We don’t have anything planned at all, haven’t even mentioned doing anything special at all. I would love to win the snuggie, everyone in my parents home got one this year too. Those of us in NC didn’t. I guess they think it’s alot warmer here. I’m glad they have theirs but I would like to join the warm-n-proud owner club. LOL Who knew he was so competitive? I would like to enter myself in the drawing. Thanks for your generosity Melinda. I am shocked you didn’t give this to Cat for Christmas as I saw on here she really wants one. I’m sure she will get her name in. As a matter of fact if it’s not against the rules, (short term memory loss ha ha) I would like to enter her name as well. » Posted By Bobbi On December 11, 2009 @ 5:54 pm So much fun!! I wish I had been in town. I am already thinking about next year’s. I will have to be here for that one. I don’t like to miss a thing. I love my church family. » Posted By Bobbi On November 5, 2009 @ 5:46 pm Melinda, I can’t even imagine how that must have been. I am so glad that Anna is ok & you are handling it perfectly. It is only a car but Anna is irreplaceable. Have a Blessed day! » Posted By Bobbi On November 3, 2009 @ 7:30 am * trust me on this one … (updated) All I could say when that video was over was AMEN! I loved it it was awesome! Everyone does need someone to stand by them & whatever our church does mission wise, I am standing by Mt. Wesley. I am so glad our leadership team has decided to get mission minded. I am ready to get in the game, this whole pew warming thing is OVER! » Posted By Bobbi On October 21, 2009 @ 10:36 am I am so sorry you didn’t get to roast your hen. It sounded sooo good till you got to the rotten part. All I kept thinking about is it won’t be long till I’m in Ky with my family roasting the turkey for our Thanksgiving dinner. There must be something wrong with me because I don’t like to cook for just the three of us but I love to cook Thanksgiving & Christmas dinner for my family in Ky. Maybe it’s because my mom &dad usually help out & it becomes more or less a team effort. GOOOO Hatfields! » Posted By Bobbi On October 16, 2009 @ 6:27 pm * now that’s using your gourd … If I don’t vote for spongebob I am sure my little one would be heart-broken so here’s one for spongebob. By the way the likeness of him is great! » Posted By Bobbi On October 14, 2009 @ 5:43 am I was wondering where this part went I like checking up on you & seeing where you are & what your doing, did you ever think people would find everyday life would be so interesting? » Posted By Bobbi On October 9, 2009 @ 9:47 pm Okay, I don’t know if you are ready for this one or not, brace yourselves. I clicked on the link, of course, Caleb just happened to be watching it with me, he started whooing, I started whooing then get this, the dog started whooing too! For some odd reason though, I have yet to hear a whoo coming from my husband yet, which is highly unusual because he jumps on any chance he gets to get loud for any reason so here goes from our house to yours………..WHOOOOOOOOO. THE SILENCE IS BROKEN WE WHOOOED ONE LAST TIME & KEVIN JOINED IN! » Posted By Bobbi On October 9, 2009 @ 9:42 pm Hi Melinda, I read your blog everyday and I check it to see if you have posted anything new each time I log on. I must be addicted or something. I always enjoy your blog but I don’t comment alot. I guess I wait till I think I have something special to say. You make me smile each time I read a new post. The way I got here is hearing you talk about it at church & when I got internet service I asked for the blog info to check it out. I am glad I did. I also like to read all the comments that other people leave. I want to say that I think you are a fun-loving person & I enjoy your outlook on things. I find myself being on the serious side of life too much sometimes (all the time if you ask Kevin & Caleb) & it is nice to be around people who like to laugh & have fun. So, thanks for the humor!!! » Posted By Bobbi On October 8, 2009 @ 9:52 am I like #2 of the edited ones. I told you they are both gorgeous. These girls are even more beautiful on the inside than on the outside. Melinda, you have done an amazing job in raising these girls. » Posted By Bobbi On September 16, 2009 @ 9:58 am I liked the 3rd one of the photo shopped ones. I must say, both do you see this Chrisi, BOTH of your daughters are absolutely gorgeous! They are both very photogenic as well I must say. By the way, Anna did a wonderful job singing Sunday. I like that song and on the way home I found out Caleb does too because he was singing it all day Sunday. We had heard it on 106.9 my fav radio station, I think that is the only radio station my car picks up, oh yeah, I guess you have to turn a knob, press a button, or something if you want to change it huh, lucky for 106.9 I don’t, anyway, Caleb has heard the song plenty of times but I’ve never heard him sing it until he heard Anna sing it in church so thank you Anna! I love it when kids are inspired & sing songs to the Lord. You keep on singing girl! » Posted By Bobbi On September 14, 2009 @ 11:13 am I am thankful first & foremost that God loved us enough to send his Son Jesus to die on the cross in our place. » Posted By Bobbi On September 7, 2009 @ 3:20 pmComments Posted By Bobbi
