The sun is shining and I have been out working on the garden.  Bless it’s little heart, the ground is still soppy wet around the planter beds.  I did lots of thinning out earlier this week per the suggestion of my favorite butthead Brad.  It seems to be helping.  The squash that I planted from seeds had no blooms at all earlier this week and now it has lots of blooms and more buds ready to bloom at any minute.

Today I had to do some doctoring on our tomato plants.  First I took these …

I cut up the old panty hose into little strips which I used to tie these up to some stakes …

cause these need to be up off of the ground …

Nothing taste better than a homegrown tomato sandwich on some fresh bunny bread with dukes mayo, salt & pepper!  My mouth is watering now.

And just because my husband loves me & made me a flower box on our itty bitty front porch … I want to share a picture of one of the beautiful flowers he planted in it. Wasn’t that sweet of him?  Please note, sweet is not a word I normally use when describing Richard … handy is … but not sweet!
